The Datteln Rowing Club , with its approximately 180 members, is located in the immediate vicinity of the Dortmund-Ems Canal, on the edge of the Ruhr region. Datteln, or the city of waterways, lives up to its name.

 

The area is large and varied . Wide fields and lots of nature can be found on the Dortmund-Ems Canal towards Münster. For all Ruhrpott romantics, there is the Rhine-Herne Canal in the opposite direction. If you don't mind the miles and locks, this will take you past Gelsenkirchen and Oberhausen to the Rhine. Alternatively, the Datteln-Hamm Canal takes you to Waltrop, or you can stay true to the Dortmund-Ems Canal and travel to the Olympic training center in Dortmund, around 22 km away. But it's not just in our beautiful rowing area that you can let off steam.

 

The club building invites you to linger with its well-equipped boathouses, a spacious club room with bar and the idyllic garden. Not only members have everything their heart desires here, but also guests who want to book the room for their events.

 

The Datteln Rowing Club offers rowing at a wide range of levels. Whether you are a novice rower, an experienced recreational rower or a competitive rower , young and old, ambitious and recreational rowers will all get their money's worth with us.
